Nagoya, Osu Kannon Temple & Osu Shopping Arcade: July 2013

Osu Kannon Temple is a nice temple in Nagoya. There is no garden surrounding the temple, but apartments and a shopping arcade.

Nagoya Castle: July 2013

Pictures from my visit to Nagoya Castle. The castle unfortunately is a reconstruction from 1959, but still worth a visit if you are spending some time in Nagoya.

Currently the castle palace is being rebuild

A few parts can already be accessed and contain these beautiful wall panels.

Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo: July 2013

I took my grandma to Tsukiji to meet distant relatives who have a stand at the inner market. They gave us a nice box of Sakura-ebi (Cherry Shrimp) and Mentaiko

Tsukiji is also famous for Tamagoyaki

People lining up for sushi

Lunch at Sushi Bun, unfortunately no pictures allowed inside. For some reason there was no queue. Maybe because of the unfriendly staff and the sushi was not as good as at Sushi Dai, where I ate a few years ago. Still very good sushi though.

More tuna heads and frozen tuna

Shinjuku Golden Gai: July 2013

A few pictures from my visit to Golden Gai in Shinjuku. Highly recommended. It is an area consisting of tiny bars.
